Leadership and Organization Climate al affiliation Leadership and Organization Climate Every leader is unique in the way he leads. There is no one clear style of leadership just as there is no single definition of what leadership is. One can even combine different styles of leadership to come up with the ideal style for them. My style of leadership includes mentorship and letting people bring out the best in them through coaching. As a leader I understand one important aspect- you cannot force people to do something, and they do it right.

You will only get people to do the right thing if you encourage them but not through coercion. By mentoring the people I come along in my leadership, I feel satisfied that they can do what I like, and the way I like it done. This way, I do not have to be always present to get something done. This style has always worked for me because a mentee works hard not to disappoint the mentor. This form of guidance is relevant because people can get your view of problems and opportunities, and to come up with quick solutions.

Am able to reprimand my mentees in a way that they can see the wrong and not feel that the method I use is unfair. I have also been mentored before and I, therefore, know what works and what does not work. This style also has its fair share of challenges. It is taken to be an emotional style of leadership. The problem comes in when the mentees take it to be too emotional, and then I have to put my foot down for there to be positive results. There is no single style without challenges. You just have to know how to deal with the challenges and let those you lead respect your style of leadership as they also get the best out of it.
