It provides a picture of intended achievements. The Staff and Boards of Directors of the XYZ will develop strategic plans while being assisted by a consulting company. The plan will provide the organization with a 4-year map for services, support and also organization development. The progress will be reviewed quarterly by the Board of Director and this plan will be reviewed annually. The plan will be developed with guidance and involvement from Staff and Board of Directors. The Strategic Planning Committee, which will make up the management team, will include three staff members plus six board members.( Michael & Jude 2005) The Committee will meet and reflect on core operating values, vision and mission of the organization. The meeting will set a stage for the full work session for the whole Board of Members. The Staff will assist in coordinating the planning progression and provide vital analysis and support to complete the plan. The Consulting firm will facilitate the process of planning and will use an assessment tool. The firm will conduct a scan in the environment which include an internal assessment of the organization and also interview the respective stakeholders. The firm will also carry a review of market data and demographic. This will assist the organization in assessing the opportunities and challenges that the organization will likely to face in the working years. It will also assist in setting the context which will be reflected in the strategic plan. Background and History The organization started in 2008 as a volunteer community help group. The organization will continue to provide services and support to nearly 25,000 families and the physically challenged people. This has been from junior life to senior. It will also provide employment opportunities to the youth. (Michael 2005) The services and support which are in the processing of expanding include planned relief residential support, job support and replacement, social activities and respite care. The organization will continue to offer to offer referral services and information, work together with the community to educate people on disabilities. Direction and Results The strategic guidelines and goals that will be included in these plans are the organization reply to its comprehending of the current opportunities, challenges and the customers’ value to the organization. The 4-year plan will be help assist the organization in assessing their approaches to its work. It will play a leadership role when it works with the community groups and will recruit more volunteers for this role. (Robert 2007) The organization will pursue these strategic work: It will review and continue to deepen the existing supports and services, assess community and consumer needs to fill the gaps which may have developed. The organization will actively take part in leadership role at community level and expand its financial roles in the community and continue to invest in properties. Goals The organization goals in the next four years include: it will provide services to the physically challenged in the community as it partner with other community groups, develop a qualified workforce which is motivated to deliver its mission, as a non-profit making organization it will have to increase the volunteers’ numbers and increase its support operation. Vision The organization is a leader and identifies needs and collect resources for he community. Specifically the organization: Leads community organization and providers in indentifying gaps and needs in the community, directly provides services that close these gaps, collaborate with other services providers and financially support its programs Mission In this plan the organization has two statements that will improve the lives of the community and physically challenged. These are: Achieving –this means that it will ensure that people with disabilities have opportunity and support as required. Full community life-This means that it will support the community in its daily life from junior to senior life. Core Operating Values Core operating values acts as XYZ Service Provider fundamental values that shapes this company. They assists the organization in articulating ideals that this organization aspires to ensures that it is accountable and widely offer guidance on how XYZ Service Provider behaves when carrying out various tasks as part of accomplishing its mission. The following described core operating values that will influence the public figure of XYZ Service Provider and its defined culture as a way of creating effective community organization through proper leadership (Davis 1999). Caring attitude: the XYZ Service Provider organization widely demonstrates a compassionate support for the larger community. To be part of this compassionate support, the organization has engaged in educating customers through the provision of basic information (Davis 1999). Responsiveness: the organization is constantly finding solutions that are greatly involved in meeting the preferences and needs of the larger community by way of referrals to other providers and direct service. Diversity: the company understands the need of diversification especially when focusing on matters related to community development. Here, diversity is in form of ethnic background, races and religion. State of art practices: the company aims developing excellence and high quality of the various states of arts approaches that community can count on (Davis 1999). Integrity and accountability: the company has a well renowned highest level of integrity especially in its leadership, administration and outreach services. The services named here are closely tied mission, goals and vision. Individualized support: the organization understands that customers need vary with an individual thus it seeks to understand different customers through creation of right support through personal development (Stephen & James 2007). Financial sustainability: the organization believes its work in service provider will be useful for many coming years. Therefore, it strives in delivering its mission and vision by way of thoughtful strategic choices ensuring substantial fiscal resources (Davis 1999). Partnerships: the XYZ Service Provider organization works closely with others partners for quality service delivery to the community Underlying Service Assumption All of XYZ Service Provider organizational services and how it carries out its work are highly based non fundamental beliefs that support the larger community (Michael & Jude 2005). The company believes in; All people both employees and members of the community have equal rights All individuals are perceived to have asserts and strengths (Stephen & James 2007). All members within a community deserve an equal opportunity to participate in events that are held by the organization in regard to community. That is; education, jobs, proper health care and housing. Constant engaging and participating in community activities creates a positive impact to individual welfare. This is because individual are able to enrich their livelihood thus making positive contributions (Michael & Jude 2005). Individual safety and health is essential for effective participation in community projects Motivated and well trained employee makes a difference in people within it community Support of customers in their own definable advocacy efforts result to improvement in their quality life The organization realizes the importance of community role in development of its operations Customers The XYZ Service Provider organization ensures full support of each individual for maximum participation of community projects. These defined individuals are considered to be organization “principal customers”. Principal customers are defined as an individual who creates an impact on ongoing operations within the same organization. Therefore, the organization put more priorities in indentifying the principal customer as part of creating references for their critical decisions. The principal customer satisfaction ensures that the organization highly succeed in its ongoing operations so as to accomplish organization goals, objectives and mission (Michael & Jude 2005). After a SWOT analysis the following is a brief summary of the strengths and weaknesses that were discovered. This is vital as it is able to identify the areas that need to be strengthened by the board of staff. The brief represented a small portion of the environmental scan attached to the strategic plan. Strengths The organization’s staff demonstrated the ability to be able to provide high quality services that are able to provide the community members to live a fuller life. The staff demonstrated high level of commitment as the services that are provided by them are monitored to ensure that they are and maintain the high quality needed. The organization and its employees are able to meet challenges with highly modes of innovation. The organization has a high and respected reputation as the other organizations and the communities view it as a leading service provider (Horkan, 2000). Weaknesses The high growth by the agency has resulted into problems in the human resources as they are faced with the difficulty in supervision.
