A Report from the Ministry of Information Introduction The ministry of information is a vital ministry that is involved in imperial publications of documents like laws, announcements, and directives from different ministries. It plays an important role in intelligence gathering and spying in collaboration with the ministry of the police. The ministry of information disseminates regulations in conjunction with the ministry of justice to ensure the smooth running of the empire. The ministry of information, being one of the ministries that has a flurry of activities, is also charged with passing important information to various parties. This report will examine how the ministry collected information, the major events that occurred in the ministry, the plans that the ministry has to improve its performance, the challenges that the ministry faced, and recommendations as to how these challenges can be mitigated. The goal of my ministry is to spread useful information to every part of our empire within the shortest time possible. As the minister I aim to facilitate the smooth running of this ministry. I will unite my team and motivate them to work towards achieving this goal. I believe information is vital to the economic growth of our empire. Collection of Information The ministry was involved in collecting information in various fields. I led my team to collect information and analyze it. The collected information, after analysis, was sent to the concerned Parties for necessary action to be expedited. We, as a ministry, ensured that all the necessary information including the texts were handwritten and published in the sense of being made public and distributed in relative numbers. We saw that it was essential for your Excellency to be acquainted with the fact that it is our gratification that all limitations which were formerly advanced in official pronouncements regarding the Christians should be known by all, and this was our mandate as a ministry (Rosenwein 313). We worked hand in hand with other stakeholders including other ministries like the ministry of finance, the ministry of security, and the ministry of the police to collect intelligence information from all over the empire. Our spying team collected information from those people who were spreading propaganda against the leadership in our empire, and those who were spreading negative rumors were punished according to the laws of the land, your Excellency. I ensured that all your speeches were well written and published. All your directives were forwarded by my team to the various departments for necessary actions by various bodies. The ministry of information ensured that all that were given a chance to publish information published information that was helpful to the development of the country and it did not contain any provocative information that may have affected the peaceful coexistence of the empire. According to Khan, when a leader ascended to the throne of the great army he abolished reprehensible customs among the Mongols, which had been practiced by those peoples and enjoyed recognition among them. He sent information in all directions calling on the populace to yield him allegiance; he never had recourse to intimidation or violent threats, as was the custom with the tyrant kings, who used to menace their enemies with size of their territory and the magnitude of their equipment and supplies(Khan 27). We as a ministry ensured that all your directives were also delivered to your people in the right form and in time. Major Events that occurred in the Ministry Your Excellency, our ministry underwent some changes. Some of the members of the ministry of information were involved in a scandal. When this issue was brought to me, your Excellency, I took a serious step of sacking those who were involved. I replaced them with other loyal citizens of this empire. Our ministry was also given some funds to start collecting information. According to khan, their kingdom was united, and this was brought about by the information which was spread for people to unite and work hard. The children and grand children of Chingiz-Khan are more than ten thousand, each of whom has his position yurt, army, and equipment. To document them all is not possible: our purpose in relating this much was to show how harmony which prevails among them as compared to other kings, how brother falls upon brother and son meditates the ruin of father till of necessity they are vanquished and dominated and their authority is downfallen and overthrown(Khan 43). This made our ministry to disseminate information on the importance of unity in our empire, but as far as unity was imperative for success, the corrupt people were not needed in the ministry that is why they were sacked. Our ministry held a number of public rallies in the empire to spread your directives, and all announcements that were being put forward by other ministries. We also told the citizens that your aim was to improve their welfare. Our ministry promoted those who performed well to higher ranks to encourage them to perform even better. According to your directive, that the ministry should keep a record of major events in the empire, the ministry was able to publish over 500 records of events for reference. Plans of the ministry this year The ministry is planning to produce a weekly publication that will inform the public of major occurrences in the empire. This publication will also contain information educating the public on farming, methods of production, and health. The ministry also intends to increase intelligence, as well as spying in collaboration with the ministry of the police. This will inform the police of people planning to do things that will affect peace in the empire, and this will enable the police to take necessary action. The ministry also plans to launch a campaign of educating the public on improving their economic status and that of the government. This will enable all people to at least cater for their families; according to chapters on marriage a woman receives maintenance and lodging during her idda (Ibn et al 57). Therefore, men will be educated for them to be in a position to cater for their spouses in our campaign. This campaign will be held in all parts of our empire. Due to the fact that Heaven granted strength, the soldiers of my father, the qaghan, were like wolves, and his enemies were like sheep. Having gone on campaigns forward and backward, he gathered and collected men (Levi et al 54). We, as a ministry, aim to focus our campaign in uniting people. My ministry also aims to increase income by selling publications. The income received from these publications will be used to help the poor in the society and to improve our economy your Excellency. Challenges that the Ministry faced Your Excellency my ministry has faced various challenges in the process of providing services to our empire. The challenges that we faced included; lack of adequate manpower in writing and distributing publications. The ministry requires people who will be involved in writing, publication and distribution of information. The ministry of information had challenges in curbing propaganda that was being spread by the opposition in various parts of the empire. It also ensured that those who were involved were taken to court. In this process, I realized that the ministry does not have the necessary manpower to deal with those who were involved. The ministry also lost important information in the empire through its operations. This was a big loss to our empire as a whole. My ministry also faced a lot of corruption last year that ranged from embezzlement of funds, to poor allocation of tenders. This was done by corrupt members in my ministry in collaboration with other corrupt members from other ministries. Recommendations Due to the challenges that the ministry faced your Excellency, I would like to make the following recommendations. To solve the problem of lack of enough workers to help in the distribution of information, the ministry should employ more workers to add on the current workers. As emperor shun when recruiting workers the qualities that were sought in special and annual recommendations, rather than those of specific expertise, were most often ones of character; being filially pious and incorrupt, able to speak frankly and admonish unflinchingly, being capable, good, virtuous, and upright. The majority of new officials, those recommended for being filially pious and incorrupt were probably not regularly examined before (Wang Fu et al 16). Therefore, your Excellency, in conducting our recruitment we should consider other characters apart from expertise. The ministry of information in partnership with the ministry of the police will also increase intelligence and spying in all parts of our empire. This will help to the police to know all the happenings in our empire. The ministry of information should construct more stores for storing information and books that the ministry publishes. This will help in averting the loss of vital information. Those involved in corruption should be punished to serve as an example for the others. The ministry should also be given more powers to deal with those involved in corruption. According to Ibn in the Christian scriptures since all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood (Wang Fu 150). Your Excellency we also need to give those who repent a second chance. Conclusion The ministry of information being an important ministry is committed to give the best services to all the members of this empire without favor. Under my leadership, the ministry of information will ensure timely processing and distribution of information to all parts of this empire. My ministry will deal with those who are involved in distribution of propaganda and ensure that they face the full force of the law. We will work in partnership with other ministries to ensure that this empire succeeds both socially and economically. Your Excellency, we look forward to working with you and to receive any support from you in times of need. Works cited Ibn, Ḥanbal A. M, Susan A. Spectorsky, and Rāhwayh I. I.
