Measurement Controls in an Organization A manager ought to establish goals, set strategic directions, execute the various decisions, and monitor the behavior and the state of the organization, steering the individuals and the organization towards succeeding and surviving the competitive market. Managing a big firm is not an easy affair (Ryder, 2013). Once a firm expands, the manager is required to employ various tactics in to ensure that the organization stays track to achieve the set objectives.

The manager ought to device methods and strategies that act as the ears plus the eyes of the beleaguered personnel. The three approaches in management have leveraged the new advancements in successful management (Ryder, 2013). Three top measuring controls will enable me as the manger determines whether the organization is moving towards achieving the set organizational goals. The manager sets realistic expectations, which can be measured, the manager sets and develops tactics and strategies that accomplishes the defined outcomes, and the managers takes the corrective measures when the actual and predicted results deviate (Ryder, 2013).

Settings of realistic goals allow the individuals and the entire organization work without stresses and being under pressure. The manager ought to set goals that can be achieved and propel the organization to achieving their goals. When these objectives are met, then there is no doubt that the organization is moving in the right direction (Ryder, 2013). Developing tactics and strategies to handle any outcome that is not according to the desired results will help the organization move in the right direction.

The manager will use the tactics to contain the results and steer the company in the right direction. The manager knows the difference when the actual and predicted results are achieved. When the company sets to achieve a result that is not desired, the manager takes corrective measures that ensure the company and the individuals move in the right direction of achieving the results (Ryder, 2013).ReferencesRyder, T.
