timezone Technologies (our company) has thoroughly analyzed, examined, and evaluated the requisite features and characteristics of the system. TimeXone Technologies utilizes one of the industry standards for evaluating a Transaction Processing System known as TPC Benchmark. Based on the comprehensive analysis, this memorandum provides strengths, weaknesses, recommendations, and feasibility assessment of the system under deployment at the ‘The Tampa Club’. Keeping in view the current business process flow being followed by the ‘The Tampa Club’ for entertaining their customers, it has been identified that the Transaction Processing System (TPS) has certain weaknesses that need to be highlighted and removed. One of the major weaknesses of the systems has been observed that the staffs (employees) of the ‘The Tampa Club’ perform various functions manually for completing the business process of a transaction which may cause problems.

The staff/human interaction reduces the reliability of the transaction processing system. Therefore, the Transaction Processing System should be completely automated in a way that involves minimum staff intervention to avoid human errors. It has been observed that the Transaction Processing System implemented in the ‘The Tampa Club’ does not perform one of the core functionalities include real-time processing. timezone Technologies analyzed and highlighted the above-given weaknesses of the TPS for informing the ‘Tampa Club’ to take further necessary actions for their removal.

The strength of the Transaction Processing System is the provision of accurate data. To implement data integrity in such systems utilize various techniques include: the ‘Write Ahead Logging’ and ‘Shadow Paging’. Both these techniques ensure that the database of the Transaction Processing System contains accurate and consistent information. Above all, the Transaction Processing System fulfills its objective of providing precise information in an efficient and effective manner. Therefore, it can be stated that the Transaction Processing System is overall good; however, its identified weaknesses need to be addressed.

Keeping in view the identified strengths and weaknesses of the TPS, it is recommended that the ‘The Tampa Club’ should consider the real-time transaction processing systems. Comparatively, these systems are expensive as compared to the Batch Processing Systems but these systems do not generate errors as frequently as compared to the Batch Processing Systems. On the other hand, if there is any budget issue with the ‘The Tampa Club’, then the Batch Processing Systems can also be considered but if this system has to be selected, then the data validation techniques should have to be implemented to avoid errors.

The well-known data validation techniques include Transaction initiation, data type checking, and field validation. Moreover, the implementation of a real-time transaction processing system should require a high-end latest computer server with an ability that the database can be able to perform online. It is pertinent to mention here that the implementation of the real-time transaction processing system would eliminate the identified weaknesses. The implementation of the real-time transaction processing system requires many changes in the current business process of the ‘The Tampa Club’.

Furthermore, the ‘The Tampa Club’ has to bear more cost per transaction in the form of initial investment (for buying the system) and maintenance cost of the system. The selected TPS would initially be expensive for the ‘The Tampa Club’; however, as it would provide accurate results, therefore, with the passage of time, the ‘The Tampa Club’ would rely on the system completely. The deployment of the real transaction processing system would also require the latest hardware (high-end computer server) as mentioned above. The employees/staff of the ‘The Tampa Club’ need training to use the system properly and effectively.
